Easter

This amazing flower, found in Hawaii by Elizabeth, embodies Easter for me.

While America celebrates the most significant event this world will ever know, many will overlook and never understand the real meaning of Easter.

For believers, the death and resurrection of Jesus allows us to have a personal relationship with God. We can be forgiven of our sins and start a new life. With his resurrection power at work within us, we begin to bloom where we are planted.

I think what you said is exactly correct. To some folks, all it means is Easter Bunnies and Easter Eggs. How sad is that? I'm glad that as a child, I was exposed to what Easter is really about.

Connie,
Glad you are enjoying my blog, I am getting there! One step at a time. A very Blessed Easter to you too!! I'm not sure if I will see you Sunday, as Gerry decided he would like to go to church this weekend and he wants to go to the Messianic church, which is Saturday morning. Then Autumn and Kevin are coming over Sunday and we are fixing dinner. So, a full weekend! And Ger decided to go to church all on his own!! Praise God! I've got to follow! Talk to you soon. You know, I don't even remember taking a picture of this flower??!! I didn't even recognize it as being one of mine!
