Holding steady

These trees in Hawaii (photo by Elizabeth) have shown their ability to hunker down and endure.

This is a hard time for many families as many are loosing jobs they have had for years. The winds of uncertainties have blown and taken away all the things that were common place.

The most important thing we can do, when life is blowing adversity our way, is to hunker down with God. Spend time with Him. Talk to Him. Listen to Him. Let the roots of faith go deep, making you strong, and holding you through troubled times.

Absolutely! I am doing that right now and I am reeping the rewards. Life is challenging with six little ones. I do not have much help and I can get physically and mentally exhausted trying to stay on top of everything. I have to go to Him for strength!

Boy, did I need to hear this today. My husband is looking for a full-time, family wage job. So far no luck, but he has lots of applications out. We continue to "hunker down" and pray that God will bring something our way.
