Foggy Days

I live in a part of the world that has many, many gray days. It may not be raining, but the sun is not shining. Foggy days can be literal, or figurative. Either way, we can gradually loose perspective.

I am reminded of what the children of Israel did when they were 'in their fog'. They murmured until God was so tired of their complaining and sin that he caused the earth to open and devour some, and caused fire to burn 250 men (Numbers 16:30-35 and Numbers 26:10-11).

Psalms 106:13-21 sums it up by saying they forgot God their Savior.

Sometimes we do not notice how deeply we are allowing the 'foggy days' to affect us. Did you notice that the tree in the photo has a dozen birdhouses? On your 'foggy days' have you forgotten God your Savior? We do well to remember Him, talk to him, and give praise to Him. Praising Him is how we see the 'birdhouses' he puts out for us!

Thanks for the tap on the shoulder. It is all too easy to allow the 'fog' to creep into my life. Thanks be to God that there are people like you who send a ray of sunshine.
Blessings,Ruth

We thank God for the sunny days but complain to Him about the foggy ones when the days are actually the same, it's us that can't see that.

That's a nice use of that old tree. I must have stared at it enlarged about 10 minutes trying to figure out if that's a bird on one of the top boxes....lol.
