Never Leave A Mess

A devotional I read several weeks ago keeps going through my mind.

'Never walk away from a mess - in areas we have responsibility for or have authority over'. That stopped me cold, then I continued on.

'When something is out of order or in disarray - whether spiritually, mentally, emotionally or physically - do what is in your power to eliminate the chaos. If you do not have the power to change, ask God in faith for His help.'
1 John 5:14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

This one is pretty deep. I guess we all have a lot of responsibility.Thank goodness we also have a Father to lean on.

It's so coincidental that you said this today. Another blog I follow just said this:

"Thank You Lord for loving us... even in the midst of our clutter! And thank
You for showing me that just as it's important for me to clear out the clutter
of my closet... it's even more important for me to continually clear out the
clutter in my mind and heart... to throw out those thoughts and attitudes
that are hindering me from living more fully in the freedom of Your love
and grace. Give me the courage to examine the clutter in my mind and heart
and be willing and tenacious about throwing out anything that doesn't line up
with the truth of Your Word or the sweetness of Your Spirit. Amen."

P.S. What is the source of your quote? I am putting it on my fridge along with Karla's.
Thanks, Connie!

As I look around at the mess of my home due to remodeling, I know it is temporary, but I long for the order of a home put together, everything in its place. I miss that and look forward to the day that will happen again. In the meantime, I'm asking God for the grace and peace I need to not let this mess drive me crazy in the meantime ;)

Very encouraging words and a great photo you captured to go with this post. We've been through hard times and we always work it out together with God's help.
