Sharing A Song

The morning was quiet. I could hear the hum of the computer, the click of the keys and not much else. I felt the peace and the serenity that comes from moments when all is well.

Then a song reached my ears. Subtle through my window panes, I had to search for the source. I smiled.

I am not a photographer. I do not have the fancy lens necessary for moments like these. The lighting is mostly all wrong, but I couldn't resist trying because I wanted to remember this moment.

I think of the times I have walked through a hallway, in a store, or heard someone in a shower humming, whistling or singing. I always stop to listen. I always smile. How simple of a thing to share - without intent. I feel encouraged.

I listened to the birds sing as I read my Bible this morning.

Everyday I go out to our backyard and listen to the birds sings.
