Victim Mentality

Are we trapped within walls of our own thinking? Do we allow ourselves to become victims of circumstances by constantly thinking about them and dwelling on them?

Victim mentality keeps us within ourselves and our own space. We can be so close to something beautiful and never enjoy it when we hang unto our past experiences.

Like this intriguing photo taken by Elizabeth in Italy, there is so much more to see - and we do not see it!

Take a step of faith today. Be done with victim mentality. Move on with God. You will love what you find beyond the walls of self and self pity.

I really like that thought today and the photo too. I think I have been guilty of victim mentality a good share of my life. Time to let go ...

Don't know if I call it victim mentality. I think of it more as building ourselves into a box. Like they say...You have to think outside that box. We have a tendency to put everything in a little box...maybe that makes it easier to store in our little brains.

Oh, this is so true! That is one of my problems- when things don't go "perfectly" I get frustraited because I dwell on it when really, if I took a step back and calmed down, it isn't the end of the world. ;) Thanks for this little reminder, and for the nice comment you left! I'm glad you enjoy the pictures. :D
