Deception

Photos by Connie

Which is bigger? The flower above or the flower below?

The first photo is one cluster of petals known as the rhododendron. The bottom photo is one cluster of petals known as the miniature rhododendron. The bottom blue cluster is actually no bigger than one of the pink flowers within the large cluster. The blue flower is probably 1/10th to 1/20th the size of the pink flower. It is easy to be deceived by macro photography.

That is what the enemy wants to do with our frustrations, difficulties, adversity, and mistakes. He presents our problems to us through macro lenses and makes us think they are so big we cannot overcome. He is the chief deceiver. Don't let him make you think something is too big for God.

God does not deceive. When He says He can forgive anything, or heal anything, or help us, HE can!

You have this knack of hitting me with things right between the eyes. I loved this and needed it very much. It has been a rough weekend disciplining children over and over again. I'm so mentally exhausted and then it turned out to be that time of the month. I had to apolgize to my children this morning before I could take communion. I acted like a two year old many times over. I was very ashamed.
